As far as I know, Hoparoma is the first iOS app to predict tropical thiol — the science behind every juicy, modern IPA — across yeast, hop, malt, and Phantasm.

Most brewing apps tell you what hops to use. Hoparoma predicts what your beer will smell like, before you brew it. Version 2.0 rebuilds the whole app around that idea.

The 2.0 result screen reads your recipe's aroma as a fingerprint on one page: a 7-axis profile (Citrus, Tropical, Floral, Herbal, Spicy, Resin/Pine, Dank/Earthy) plus a Thiol Forecast in a composite hero, with a color computed per recipe. Contributions break out by stage — Boil / Whirlpool / Dry Hop / Cold Dry Hop.

—— A PREDICTION ENGINE BACKED BY LITERATURE ——

Built on Stevens power laws from Lafontaine & Shellhammer (2018). Dry-hop saturation, contact-time decay, and over-hopping are modeled explicitly — including the citrus/floral plateau at high dose rates. Every coefficient is auditable in-app, and the engine's limits are disclosed honestly.
