—— A LITERATURE-BASED AROMA ENGINE —— Built on Stevens power laws from Lafontaine & Shellhammer (2018). Dry-hop saturation, contact-time decay, and over-hopping are modeled explicitly. Every recipe breaks out its estimated aroma-compound concentrations so you can see what drives the profile. It's a research-based estimate, not a guarantee — and the engine's limits are disclosed honestly.

—— LIBRARIES —— HOPS (70 varieties): thiol ratings, plus crop-year alpha and oil data for 2024–2026 where available, including estimates. YEAST (29 strains): each rated for thiol biotransformation activity, with sourcing badges (Mainstream / Limited / Pro Pitch Only). MALT (40 malts and grains, plus Other): each rated for thiol precursor level. Beer color (SRM) is computed from your grain bill.

—— IMPORT FROM BREWFATHER & BEERSMITH (PRO) —— Import reads BeerXML (.beerxml / .xml) and BeerJSON 1.0 files and maps your hops, yeast, and malts to the chemistry model. A missing or unusable dry-hop contact time is flagged for you to confirm rather than guessed.
