Logic & algorithm puzzle game
AI gives answers, but thinking is yours to build. Code-free puzzles that measure and train your coding intuition. 108 stages, 36 challenges, daily puzzles. Free.
"AI gives answers, but you have to build your own thinking."
In the age of AI, the key skill is not writing code well, but breaking problems down well. RoboTrail uses code-free command puzzles to measure and train the thinking muscles behind abstraction, decomposition, simulation, and working memory. All content is free, supported by ads.
Campaign Mode - 108 stages across 10 levels
Move your robot to the star across 108 stages. Start with arrow (up) commands, then learn function calls (F1, F2, F3), nested abstraction, color conditions, and efficiency compression, step by step.
- Levels 1 to 3: command basics, spatial simulation, and spotting repeating patterns to group into functions
- Levels 4 to 6: code reuse with F1, nested decomposition where F2 calls F1, then full synthesis
- Levels 7 to 10: color conditions, large grids over 6x6, tight slot caps that force compression, and a master ceiling
Each stage is graded up to three stars: fewest commands for three stars, efficient for two, a clear for one.
Challenge Mode - 36 questions across 3 areas
Measure your coding thinking objectively. Each area is timed, taken one at a time. Every attempt records your score, grade, and solving pattern.
- Simulation (8 questions): track rotation and movement in your head
- Pattern thinking (14 questions): find cycles and generalize reusable groups into F1 and F2
- Abstraction (14 questions): nested functions and layered decomposition across F1, F2, F3
Each area analyzes accuracy, solving time, deliberation before the first move, and trial-and-error count. Six master-ceiling questions per area carry 2.5x weight to distinguish the top 1 percent.
Challenge Modes - same stage, new constraints
Replay any three-star puzzle in three modes:
- Speed: clear within 30 seconds
- Tight slots: slot cap cut by half, forcing function use
- Perfect: solve with exactly the minimum commands
Collect up to three medals per stage.
Daily Challenge
One curated puzzle every day, with a live count of how many cleared it. Build your thinking one problem at a time.
What you get
- An overall thinking score from 0 to 100 with a 5-level grade
- Strength and weakness charts by area
- A growth-trend graph by attempt, so progress is objectively visible
- Solving-pattern analysis: careful, trial-and-error, or balanced type
- Campaign stages recommended for your weak areas
- Star distribution, total play time, and fastest clear records
Who it is for
- Elementary, middle, and high school students interested in coding
- Parents who want an honest measure of a child's logic and abstraction
- Professionals warming up before an algorithm interview
- Anyone wanting an objective look at their own thinking patterns
- A pre-assessment tool for gifted programs and coding academies
Honest measurement
Instead of exaggerated phrases like aptitude test or brain IQ, we use honest wording such as thinking measurement and grade calculation. We do not claim percentiles until enough data accumulates. Use your own growth trend as the benchmark.
Ads and Sync
Ads run as banners and occasional interstitials, with frequency capping to protect the learning flow, and non-personalized ads by default. Progress backs up through Apple GameCenter and restores with your Apple ID, with no sign-up required.
