Zema Piano brings global music theory right to your fingertips. It allows you to turn your voice into a piano, and is the first piano app to offer native support for traditional instruments like the Begena & Kirar, perfectly mapped to authentic Ethiopic scales (Kignit) like Bati, Ambassel. Alongside a vast library of standard and international tunings (Arabic, Japanese etc..), You can easily custom-create any of the 2,048 mathematically possible scales with just a few taps.

When inspiration strikes, our voice piano mode lets you capture it instantly. Just record yourself singing or humming a single note, and the app immediately maps your voice across the entire keyboard. It turns a quick voice memo into a fully playable instrument, making it incredibly easy to sketch out ideas and experiment with your own sounds in real time.

Learning and composing are just as seamless. You can easily import and export MIDI files, or learn your favorite Amharic and classic songs by playing along with a visual, raindrop-style game. If you prefer a tactile feel, the app fully supports physical keyboard accessories so you can play with actual hardware. To expand your sound, Zema can automatically "chordify" your playing, or you can build custom chords and smoothly arpeggiate through the notes with a single press.
