Spot Flash Color

A sequence of colored pairs flashes on screen. One pair changes. Tap the position that changed. The sequence gets longer. The changes get subtler.

Spot Flash Color shows you a sequence and asks one question: what is different?

A row of colored pairs appears on screen. Each position holds two colors stacked vertically — a top and a bottom. You have two seconds to memorize the sequence. Then it vanishes. Then it returns, identical in every way except one position, where something has changed.

At first the change is obvious. A red pair becomes green. You see it immediately. You tap it. You score. The next sequence is longer. The change is slightly less obvious. You start to look more carefully, building a mental map of the sequence before it disappears.

Then the changes become subtle. Not red to green — red to purple. Two colors that look similar under pressure, similar in memory, different only if you were paying close attention to exactly the right thing. Then the change is not a color at all — a pair that was red on top and blue on bottom is now blue on top and red on bottom. Same colors. Wrong order. You have to remember not just what colors were present but where each one sat.

At high scores the sequence holds twelve pairs. The change is a single step along a color wheel — nearly invisible, detectable only by someone who has trained their color memory to a level most people never reach.

Spot Flash Color is a game about attention. About the quality of the mental photograph you take in the two seconds you are given, and whether that photograph is detailed enough to survive the moment of darkness before the answer is revealed.
