BillGuard is a private organizer for that fight. Track every bill with the four numbers that actually matter (billed amount, insurance adjustment, insurance paid, patient responsibility). Log every call to billing or insurer with the agent's name, the reference number, and the promise they made. Track every appeal deadline so you do not lose the right by missing a date. Photograph the bill and the EOB and record the discrepancy. Generate a one-page dispute summary for a patient advocate, attorney, or the carrier.
