DeMinds is a local-first Markdown + mind map workspace for turning scattered content into structured, maintainable knowledge assets.

Bring in mind maps, Markdown files, Markdown Packages, Obsidian Vaults, documents, web pages, plain text, and saved AI shares. DeMinds helps you inspect supported content as a Universal Mind Map, continue working in Markdown, and export portable files you can keep using outside the app.

DeMinds is built for people who think across files, maps, notes, folders, and AI-generated content — and who want their knowledge work to stay readable, editable, and portable instead of being locked inside one format or one tool.

What you can do with DeMinds:

• Open mind maps without losing structure Open, parse, and preview supported MindNode, XMind, and FreeMind-style mind map files. Review the structure visually, then export it as maintainable Markdown, PDF, PNG, or related assets.

• Turn Markdown into visual structure Open Markdown files, long notes, plain text, and structured documents as maps so hierarchy, branches, and context are easier to review and refine.

• Work with Markdown Packages and Obsidian Vaults Open folders or ZIP packages that contain multiple Markdown documents and related resources. Select the documents you want to work with, merge them by selection order or folder structure, and keep related links and images organized within the workspace.

• Review Obsidian Vault structure without importing everything For Obsidian Vaults, DeMinds can preserve the selected Vault structure, recognize Folder Notes, and resolve common Markdown links, Wiki links, and image references within the selected scope. It does not try to execute plugins, expand the entire Vault graph, or rewrite your original Vault.

• Bring AI shares into your own workflow Send saved AI shares into DeMinds, inspect the content as a structure, then continue editing and maintaining it as Markdown.

• Use a Universal Mind Map as the structure layer Different sources can enter one consistent structural view, helping you review, reorganize, and preserve what matters before exporting or continuing your work.

• Continue working without losing context Return to pinned items, current working copies, recent projects, backups, and recovery paths instead of treating every import as a one-time conversion.

• Preview and export your work Read Markdown inside DeMinds, preview visual output, and export clean Markdown, PDF, PNG, and related assets when the work is ready to share, review, or keep.

• Keep your knowledge assets portable Use Markdown as a durable long-term format so your content remains readable, editable, and usable outside DeMinds.

• Work local-first Processing and editing are designed to happen on your device. iCloud can be used as an optional workspace location, not as a required backend dependency.
