A handcrafted survival game with 5 enemy types, 8 power-ups, 6 environmental hazards, boss waves, and 10 wave themes. Built from scratch in SpriteKit.

Dodge & Survive is a handcrafted wave-based survival game built entirely from scratch using Apple's SpriteKit framework — no templates, no third-party engines.

ENEMY SYSTEM Face 5 uniquely programmed enemy types: • Standard enemies that accelerate toward you • Homing enemies with predictive tracking AI • Split enemies that divide into two on death • Burst enemies that fire radial projectiles • Boss enemies on milestone waves with scaled health and unique behavior patterns

POWER-UP SYSTEM Collect 8 timed power-ups, each with custom particle effects and sound cues: • Shield — absorbs incoming hits • Nova Blast — clears all enemies on screen • Magnet — pulls nearby pickups to you • Ice Bomb — freezes all enemies temporarily • Auto-Turrets — deploys turrets that fire at enemies • Speed Boost — increases movement speed • Earthquake — ground shockwave that damages all enemies • Energy Armor — a second-layer shield with unique visual

ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS 6 procedurally triggered hazards keep every run different: • Directional Lasers • Gravity Wells that pull you off course • Shrinking Play Field that reduces your movement space • Radial Lasers • Meteor Showers • Chain-reaction mechanics between hazards

PROGRESSION & DEPTH • 10 visually distinct wave themes with dynamic background transitions • Wave-based upgrade selection — choose one of three perks between waves • Combo and score multiplier system • Programmatic ambient music with boss tension tracks and fade transitions • Game Center leaderboard integration
