Novenas brings the Catholic tradition of nine-day prayer into a modern iPhone app, rendered in the form of a 1955 hand-missal. Open the app, tap Begin on any novena from the catalog, and pray one day at a time at your own pace.

The catalog spans the liturgical year. Feasts of the Lord and of Mary, the saints and their patronages, special intentions for the Church and for personal need, and Custom Intention novenas where you bring your own situation by name (a loved one, a conflict, a discernment, an illness). The Pope's monthly intention appears each month as it begins.

The prayers are not stored in the app. They are composed for you when you begin, in the form of the traditional Collect, scripturally rooted, theologically specific to the day's focus. The same novena prayed on a different day will read differently, the way the same Mass said by a different priest is the same Mass.

Quiet by design. One small notification a day at the time you choose. A single setting. No streaks, no leaderboards, no urgency. The aesthetic of a missal page rather than a productivity app.

If a day is missed, simply return to it. The Lord sees the effort.
