Bellweather: The Tuner

On November 4, 1983, Maren Calloway vanished from Linden Hollow, Ohio. Forty-two years later, journals connected to her investigation were found hidden in the walls of her home on Bellweather Lane.

Before she disappeared, Maren was documenting places where reality seemed... off. The kind of thing that made witnesses question what they had heard, seen, or remembered.

I started The Bellweather Project to understand the mysteries leading up to her disappearance. I still do not know.

This is an active investigation, not a finished story. New evidence is surfacing now, and the case is being documented as it unfolds. It's unfolding everywhere. Not just this app. Things are moving fast.

Modern spatial data started showing patterns that matched Maren's old field notes. The Tuner was built to check them in real places. Around it, field notes, journals, recordings, photographs, coordinates, letters, transcripts, newspaper clippings, police reports, and field reports keep surfacing.

Some leads can be followed from home. Others have to be checked in the field: real places, indoors and outside, using the Tuner. Not every lead announces itself as a lead.

Some belong to Maren. Some come from people who knew her. Some may not be telling the truth.

Maren's disappearance is only the beginning. The ending is not waiting somewhere. Whatever she discovered, it is not finished.
