Cupwire is a voice + location app for small groups who need to stay in touch when phone calls aren't practical — hunting parties, work crews, families on big properties, anyone moving across terrain together. Hold the round mic button to record a short voice clip. Release, and it plays automatically on every teammate's phone — even with their screen locked. Each clip is transcribed on-device so it shows up as text in the group thread, and so the lock-screen banner reads what was actually said, not just "voice message."
WHAT MAKES CUPWIRE DIFFERENT
• Live shared map. See every teammate's position on a satellite map, in real time. Drop named pins ("south stand", "the truck"), waypoints, or incident pins (sighting, shot, kill, trail sign, vehicle, lunch, parts). • Voice commands. Say "head to John" and the AR compass aims at him. Say "meet at the truck" and everyone's screen shows their personal ETA. Say "who's closest?", "what'd I miss?", "remind me at sunrise". Optional 1.1 GB on-device language model handles fuzzy phrasing — your voice never leaves the phone.
• Geofences. Set an alert ring around yourself or any waypoint, from 10 meters to 100 miles. Get a lock-screen push when a teammate enters or leaves. Useful for "tell me when she gets close to the stand" or "warn me if anyone walks into my hunting zone."
• Convoy mode. Say "follow me" — every teammate sees a live arrow to your position on the map and AR compass.
• Field intel HUD. Tap the wind button for wind speed and scent direction. Tap the sun button for BMNT, sunrise, sunset, EENT, moonrise, moonset, current moon phase, temperature, and conditions — all computed locally so it works offline. • Roll call. Tap once to send a check-in prompt to the whole group. Each member taps OK / Need help / On my way / Busy. • AR compass. Camera view with overlaid arrows pointing at each teammate in the real world. • Breadcrumb trails. Toggle to draw the last 4 hours of every teammate's path on the map.
• Night mode. Deep red overlay so the screen doesn't kill your night vision in a stand at 2am.

PRIVACY-FIRST DESIGN
• Voice is recorded only while you hold the button. No always-on listening.
• On-device transcription — your phone runs a small local model.
• On-device intent classification (optional) — runs entirely on your phone.
• No ads, no tracking, no data sales.
• Block any user with a long-press on their row. Report any message or pin with a long-press. We act on flags within 24 hours.
• Delete your account at any time from Group Settings.
