I actually like Clipped, but I feel like they need to upgrade their game if they really want to compete with apps like OpusClip. I’d like to see better AI clipping, virality scoring, stronger hook detection, better captions, automatic removal of dead space and filler words, AI B-roll, and more options for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels. It would also be nice if Clipped could eventually handle the whole process of finding the best moments, editing them, adding captions, branding the clips, and even scheduling them. I like that Clipped keeps things simple, so I wouldn’t want it to become overly complicated. I just think it has a lot more potential than what it’s currently doing. Clipped has the foundation. They just need to level it up.
