This is not a DAW. Instead, Riffer Madness inspires the creative workflow before it is time to record the final master.

Explore: • The Library: manage and preview all your creations in one spot • Recorder: trigger the microphone to capture audio of your instrument or voice • Riff Editor: assign a BPM, adjust gain, and clip audio to exact beats • Composition Canvas: arrange Riffs and Compositions over beat lines

Concepts: • Riff: Clipped audio with configurable BPM and gain • Composition: Musical slots arranged on a 10 minute canvas of beat lines (Compositions can be nested within other Compositions) • Slot: either a Riff or a Composition

Features: • Playback with integrated metronome - preview as you work • Tools for metadata management - use tags to stay organized

TOOLS

The Library Eye Button (context sensitive): (No slots selected) • Create Empty Compositions • Create Riffs • Filter • Sort (One or more slots selected) • Compose: start a new Composition with the selected slot(s) • Duplicate • Share • Tag • Delete

Riff Editor Tools: • Adjust Clip Boundaries • Adjust Gain • Play • Loop (toggle) • Metronome (toggle): BPM can be changed in the Book tool • Snap to Leading Beat (toggle): leading clip edge snaps to beat lines • Snap to Trailing Beat (toggle): trailing clip edge snaps to beat lines • Focus: zoom to the region of selected slots • Book: edit metadata: name, start, end, gain, BPM, color, and tags

Composition Canvas Tools: • Play • Loop (toggle) • Metronome (toggle): BPM can be changed in the Book tool • Snap to Leading Beat (toggle): slots snap their leading edge to the nearest beat when dragged • Snap to Trailing Beat (toggle): slots snap their trailing edge to the nearest beat when dragged • Slot Tools: • Group (toggle): treat selected slots as a single unit • Tornado: arrange selected slots end to end • Duplicate: copy selected slots and place copies • Focus: zoom to the region of selected slots • Delete: remove selected slots from the canvas • Library: import Riffs and Compositions • Book: edit metadata: name, BPM, color, and tags
