Beacon opens on your camera—not a chat window. Scan letters, forms, bills, PDFs, screenshots, photos, and short video clips. Read and understand them on your iPhone first. Cloud help is optional and only when you sign in.

OPTIONAL CLOUD HELP (SIGN IN · UK-FOCUSED TODAY) • Ask Beacon in chat—plain-English answers with links to official GOV.UK pages (UK public guidance) • Attach photos and PDFs in chat for extra context • In-depth research reports when you need a longer answer (within account limits) • Save messages and notes, with reminders when needed

PRIVACY BY DESIGN • Scanning, batch review, and on-device analysis do not send your document to our servers • On-device analysis (beta) does not send recognised text, photos, clips, or generated summaries to our servers • If you use Ask Beacon or chat, your message and relevant text (for example from a scan) are processed on our servers; scan images are not uploaded for Ask handoff unless you attach them in chat • We do not access your accounts elsewhere

Beacon is independent and not an official government service. Scanning and on-device reading work globally; cloud chat with GOV.UK links is strongest for UK public services today. Guidance may be wrong—for important decisions, read your original documents and check official sources or seek professional advice.
