Beacon is an on-device workbench for your documents and recordings—not a chatbot. Import PDFs, images, audio, and video from Files or Photos, or scan with the camera. Read, summarise, clean personal data, transcribe, and describe what you see on your device—then Share results as text or save to private Storage.

WORK ON YOUR DATA (WELCOME) • Pick a tool on Welcome—import first, no account required to try • Read & OCR — extract text from PDFs, scans, and photos • Summarise — key points from a page (beta; model download when signed in) • Clean personal data — find names, emails & IDs on device; see redacted text (beta) • Transcribe — audio & video to readable transcript pages (beta) • Describe — on-device scene description from a photo or clip (beta) • Copy, Share (.txt), or Save to Storage—use results in Notes, ChatGPT, or any app • Resume an in-progress import; open Storage to review saved collections • Saved notes in Profile (beta) for quick on-device drafts

STORAGE & EXPORT • Private gallery on your device—up to 50 pages per batch • Collections for imports, transcripts, scans, and saved results • Share from Storage sends the page or recording you are viewing • Brush blur to redact areas on a page before reuse or sharing

SCANNER (BUILT IN) • Live document scan and multi-page capture from Welcome or the scan shell • Text, Photo, and Video modes; on-device text recognition on captured pages • Photo tab: Describe scene—what is in the picture, on device (beta) • After capture, pick what to extract (beta)—overview, key facts, deadlines, and more • Sign in to download on-device AI models; processing stays on device • Profile → On-device AI: Apple Intelligence or downloadable models where supported

ACCOUNT (SIGN IN) • Download on-device text and vision models • Saved notes on your device in Profile

PRIVACY BY DESIGN • Import, workbench processing, Storage review, and on-device analysis do not send your files to our servers for those pipelines • Clean personal data runs on device; the workbench shows redacted text only • We do not access your accounts elsewhere
