Tucky Baby Cam

A modern, secure baby monitor for iPhone and iPad.

Tucky turns two Apple devices (any combination of iPhone and iPad) into a private, end-to-end encrypted baby monitor. No nursery cam to mount, no account to create, no cloud recordings to leak.

WHY TUCKY EXISTS

We love to travel, and through that we went through a lot of baby cam apps. Every one was the same story. Never sure whether the thing was actually working. Opening the app every few minutes to see if the waveform had moved. Restarting it dozens of times after the connection dropped. Slow, low-resolution video when it finally connected. None of them felt like they were designed in this decade.

Modern parents want modern tools. So I built one.

THREE QUIET PLACES, ONE SET OF EYES

The Live Activity holds the waveform on your Lock Screen. The Dynamic Island carries it down to a glance when the iPhone is in your hand. A push notification only fires when Tucky hears sustained crying. Three surfaces, one rule: stay quiet until something matters.

WHAT'S IN THE APP

· CRY DETECTION. Listens for sustained crying, not a cough or a creaking floorboard. One alert per minute, never a flood.

· LIVE ACTIVITY. The waveform, current state, and battery live on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, updated silently.

· PAIR IN 30 SECONDS. Open Tucky on the second device, scan the QR with the first. No account, no email, no cloud handshake. The two devices know each other directly.

· END-TO-END ENCRYPTED. Audio and video stream peer-to-peer over WebRTC. Every API request is signed by a key that lives in your device's Secure Enclave. Not even we can impersonate your devices.

· WORKS ANYWHERE. At home, at grandma's, at a hotel. Tucky negotiates a direct connection over Wi-Fi or cellular.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN

We can only lose what we collect, so we collect almost nothing.

What we keep on our server: a random device ID, a public key for verification, your push token (so the Lock Screen activity can update), the last 30 minutes of audio levels (a waveform shape, not the sound), sleep state, and pairing records.

What we never have: no name, no email, no Apple ID, no address, no GPS, no audio recordings, no video recordings, no analytics SDKs, no advertising IDs, no third-party trackers.

PRICING

7 days free, then €35 per year. One subscription covers both devices. The subscription auto-renews at the end of each annual period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Cancel anytime from Settings, Apple ID, Subscriptions.

REQUIREMENTS

iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 or newer, on any compatible iPhone or iPad. Both ends of the pairing need to meet the requirement. Dynamic Island previews are an iPhone 14 Pro and newer feature; the rest of Tucky works the same on every supported device.

IMPORTANT

Tucky is a consumer baby monitor, not a medical device. It is not a substitute for adult supervision. Stay close enough that you can respond in person.
