Mountain ID

Mountain ID helps you identify mountains by pointing your iPhone at them. Names appear overlaid on the landscape through your camera, with distance and elevation when you focus on a peak.

BUILT FOR THE OUTDOORS Mountain ID works best outside with a clear line of sight to peaks. GPS and compass quality improve away from large metal objects and buildings. For the most accurate labels, allow the app a moment to calibrate after you arrive at your viewpoint. DATA Mountain information comes from OpenStreetMap community data. Coverage and detail vary by region.
