EssPla

EssPla combines recipes, weekly meal planning, inventory management, shopping, and store details all within a single app. Plan your meals, keep a close eye on your current stock, and record products, prices, and purchases right at the source—exactly when and where they occur. Local usage works without an EssPla account and is completely ad-free. By default, your data remains stored locally on your device.

Optionally, you can use iCloud to sync across your personal devices or subscribe to EssPla Plus to share data with your entire household.

With EssPla, you can:

• Create and scale recipes, then schedule them for the week
• Generate shopping lists based on recipes, current inventory, or manually added items
• Cross-reference your planned requirements against your existing stock
• Maintain a detailed inventory, tracking quantities, expiration dates, condition, and reliability
• Log your cooking sessions and—optionally—automatically update your inventory levels
• Manage store profiles—including products, package sizes, prices, store sections, and shopping routes
• Quickly add products by scanning barcodes, or by capturing photos of the product, ingredients, or price tags, as well as via product search
• Document ingredients, additives, nutritional values, allergens, and product images
• Confirm prices, verify current pricing, and track price trends over time
• Compare product alternatives across different stores and link suitable substitute items
• Work through your shopping lists using "Market Mode," scanning items as you go and marking any products that are out of stock
• Receive notifications regarding low stock levels, expiring items, upcoming shopping trips, missing ingredients, outdated prices, and relevant stores
• Export your data—including images—as a ZIP file for backup purposes, and import it again later

EssPla is designed for households looking to bring more structure and organization to their food planning. The app can utilize optional device features such as the camera, photo library, location services, notifications, and iCloud. External product data is accessed and used only when you explicitly choose to retrieve it.
