KOVA records your run and then tells you what it was, in a sentence.
Most trackers hand you a wall of charts and leave the reading to you. Kova does the reading. Every summary opens with a plain-language account of the session: how you started against your average, where the pace went, what the splits did, whether it took a record. It states facts. It never coaches you.
RUN, WALK, HIKE
Three modes, each measured on its own terms. Runs and walks lead with pace. Hikes lead with vertical metres per hour, because pace is the wrong number on a climb. A hike starts with the trail name, the one thing only you know — everything else comes off the recording.
WHILE YOU RUN
One number at full height, the one you chose, above a pace channel showing where you are sitting. Four smaller tiles you can swap. Lap, pause, map. That is the whole screen.
GHOST
Race a past run. Kova rebuilds it as a time-and-distance curve and shows the gap live, in seconds, with a haptic when the lead changes. Free: your own last time on a route you have run before, picked up automatically when you start where you started last time. Pro: pick any past run, race a friend's shared ghost, and read the gap chart afterwards.
A shared ghost carries a time and distance curve only. No coordinates. Sharing your ghost never shares where you run.
BEACON
Hand one person a live link before you head out. They watch your position and route in a browser — no app, no account. The link is the only credential and carries no identity; the contact name you save stays on your phone. Kova checks in on you during the run, notices if you leave the line you planned, and tracks your turnaround budget. End the run and the session is deleted, so the link stops working.
AFTERWARDS
Splits coloured by what they actually did. Records, and how far off them you were. Route clustering that recognises the same loop across months, with a progress ladder down it. Share cards that draw your route line rather than screenshot a map, including cutout frames you can put your own photo behind. Workouts written to Apple Health.
ON YOUR WRIST AND HOME SCREEN
An Apple Watch app: one crown-scrolled column under a pace band. A Live Activity carrying the same pace channel on the Lock Screen. A Home Screen widget and a Control Center control for starting from wherever you are.
KOVA PRO
Full analytics: 7, 30 and 90-day trends, efficiency measured as seconds per kilometre at the same heart rate, volume, and fourteen cards a tap down.
Personal bests across every distance.
Training load and ACWR.
Time in heart-rate zones, per run and across a window.
Ghost: any past run, a friend's ghost, the post-run gap chart.
A mid-run notice when a record is within reach.
LOCATION AND YOUR DATA
Kova asks for location While Using, never Always. Runs sync to your Kova account so a lost phone is not a lost history — that includes the route line, which is why the signed-in session is bound to this device and kept out of device backups. Sign out and the next person to sign in on the same phone sees nothing of yours. Delete your account and the runs, splits, records and profile go with it.
