The Shakes Pilates

Where you'll find that Pilates "shake." The Shakes Pilates App is designed to make booking your in-studio classes a breeze. Can't make it to the studio? The app is also home to a variety of online classes, where you take shake on the go - wherever, whenever.

Based in Long Beach Island, NJ The Shakes Pilates is a Mat Pilates Club that offers in-studio classes/pop-ups and online training videos. Clients are welcome to join the community in person at our studio, better known as "The Beach House" in Beach Haven, NJ. Whether you're in person or online, The Shakes Pilates offers a contemporary, athletic teaching style with emphasis on the mind body connection. Each movement puts careful focus on form in order to activate the body's inner-stability units and build core strength, while also lengthening, mobilizing, toning all areas of the body. Movements start off slow and gradually build up to advancements as class goes on. The class uses various props such as light weights, a stability ball and resistance bands to ensure your deeper muscles are engaged, giving you that Pilates shake as you move through class.

The Shakes was created/founded by lead instructor Kylie McCavitt, who was certified and received extensive training in New York City. Prior to The Shakes, she taught at prominent Manhattan studios for 3 years, until she decided to form her own community/way of teaching, rooted in her love for Pilates and a class architecture that focuses on results, mindfulness, and intention - leaving each client feeling better than they did before they got on the mat.
