Code Red is a free iPhone app for men who want to understand where their partner may be in her menstrual cycle and how this might affect the relationship.

Most guys never learned about the 4 phases of the menstrual cycle, or how much those phases can affect her needs, behaviours, and energy. That can lead to surprising problems. You try to offer solutions, and she just wants you to listen. You plan a fun activity, and she wants to stay in. You plan a romantic night, and the timing feels completely off. You meant well, but somehow it still lands badly.

Code Red is built to help with that.

The app keeps things simple. You answer 4 quick questions about how she seems right now, including her mood, energy, comfort, and whether she seems more chatty or more withdrawn. Based on your answers, Code Red gives a rough prediction of which phase of the menstrual cycle she may be in.

For each phase, the app gives you a high-level overview of what may be going on, including how she is likely to feel and behave, what she may need more of in this phase, and what qualities she may be most attracted to. It is not a diagnosis, and it is not trying to replace communication. It’s a practical conversation starter that helps you get more in sync with your partner each month, hopefully leading to fewer arguments, more fun, and a stronger connection.
