Is someone you love living alone?

Anbu sends a daily check-in — step count, signs of activity, battery level — to the people watching over them, and tells them when that signal stops.

No calls. No visits. Not even opening the app.

■ Two ways to use it

· If you receive check-ins — enter your family member's safety code to connect. Their check-in arrives every day, and on the days it doesn't, you get a staged alert. Up to 5 people on one screen.

· If you send a check-in — tap [Create My Safety Code] in Settings once. From then on it goes out on its own at a set time each day. Nothing to open, no button to press.

One person can do both. You might receive your parent's check-in while your own goes out to your children.

■ Close the app and it keeps going

At the set time a notification arrives, and the check-in goes out in that moment — even if the app is fully closed or the screen is locked.

If the connection drops, the check-in goes out as soon as it's back, without opening the app, and the missed day's step count is filled in the next day. If it still can't get through, a notification lets you know.

Check-ins travel with notifications, so please keep notifications turned on.

■ Seen through steps

The day's step count travels with the check-in, so activity is visible at a glance. Weekly and monthly graphs make it easy to compare against the usual.

■ Staged alerts

· Normal — today's check-in arrived · Caution — no check-in or no sign of activity · Warning — nothing confirmed for days running · Urgent — needs looking into now · Info — steps, low battery and the like

You know exactly when a call is worth making.

■ When help is needed

One tap on [I need help] and everyone connected is alerted at once. The current location goes with it.

■ Names and phone numbers are never stored on our servers

· No sign-up. A single 7-character safety code connects you · Location is shared only when [I need help] is tapped

■ Kept as light and simple as we could

· No extra features, no complicated setup — just the essentials, so anyone can use it easily. · The app doesn't need to sit running in the background. It wakes for a moment only when the day's notification arrives, sends the check-in, and goes back to sleep. So it barely uses battery or data.

■ 20 languages

The app and its notifications come in 20 languages. Even when two people read different ones, each notification arrives in the reader's own. The clock follows the country too.

· Free for the person sending the check-in · 3-month free trial for the person receiving it, then a yearly subscription · One subscription covers up to 5 people · The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it any time in your App Store account's subscription settings.
