Met a match who seems too good to be true? Run their photo through DateVet for a verdict on fakes, stolen pics, and AI in seconds, with the evidence to back it up.

DateVet is a photo verification tool for dating app profiles. Upload any picture, whether it's a screenshot of a match, a photo someone sent you, or an image of a person you want to look into, and DateVet runs it through several checks. A few seconds later you get a verdict with a confidence score and the evidence behind it.

WHAT DATEVET CHECKS

Reverse image search finds other places the photo has turned up online, from stolen photo catalogs to celebrity news sites to other social profiles. AI and deepfake detection spots images made or modified by generative AI tools. Public figure matching lets you know when a profile is using photos of a celebrity or well-known social media creator.

Metadata inspection reads the EXIF data for clues that suggest AI origin or commercial reuse.

PRIVACY FIRST

Your photos are deleted from our storage as soon as the scan finishes, usually within seconds. DateVet does not run facial recognition and does not build or store biometric templates. Only text results (verdict, confidence, matching URLs) stay in your private account so you can review your scan history. Everything is deleted if you close your account. HONEST ABOUT LIMITS

No catfish detection tool catches everything. DateVet can miss photos that haven't been indexed on the public web yet, and it can flag real public figures who happen to use dating apps. Treat every verdict as a probability, not a final answer. When something matters, verify it yourself. A video call or a fresh photo of the person in a specific pose is still the best way to confirm who you're talking to.

SUBSCRIPTIONS AND CREDITS

New users get free photo checks to try the service. You can buy more scans as one-time credit packs, or sign up for a monthly plan. Monthly subscriptions renew at the price shown in the app unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel anytime through your Apple ID account settings.

NOT AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE

DateVet is not currently offered in Illinois, Quebec, the EU, Switzerland, Brazil, Vietnam, South Korea, or China because of local biometric privacy and data protection laws. Users in Illinois, Texas, and Washington need the subject's consent before scanning someone else's photo.
