Beat the daily news quiz.
One attempt. Six real-news tracks. Challenge friends on daily and weekly leaderboards, then sharpen your judgment with every result.
Outthink your friends. Sharpen your judgment.
Anti-Fakes turns real news into a quick daily reasoning challenge. Read a short excerpt, decide whether its reasoning holds up, and explain why.
ONE DECISIVE ATTEMPT
Each track has five questions and allows one attempt per day. Once you finish, today's result is final for that track. There is no retry—but you can challenge friends on another track.
SIX DAILY TRACKS
Choose news from the United States, Taiwan, or the United Kingdom. Each country has:
- Beginner: five guided questions scored locally
- Hard: five open-response questions with AI feedback; answer by voice or text
The Play screen suggests an unfinished track where friends are already active, so the next challenge is always easy to find.
COMPETE WITH FRIENDS
- Compare scores on friend-only daily leaderboards
- Move between Monday and Sunday to see live and final daily results
- Follow your weekly position as your best 6 daily scores count
- See your own row even when it is outside the visible leaders
- Invite friends by exact handle or an Anti-Fakes link
Friendship is mutual. Both players must accept before scores appear. There is no global public leaderboard and no player-to-player chat.
BUILD A DAILY HABIT
Complete any daily challenge to keep your streak. One missed day per week can be protected automatically when you return the next day; the protection allowance resets Monday, while your streak can continue across weeks.
GET BETTER AT
- Catching claims that sound bigger than the evidence
- Separating true facts from bad conclusions
- Spotting missing context
- Explaining why something feels off
- Recognizing when a story actually holds together
PRIVACY AND ACCOUNTS
No account is required for core play. Continue as a guest, or use Google or Apple to restore progress. A linked account is required to add friends and keep a stable friend identity.
Beginner selections are scored locally. Before Hard begins, Anti-Fakes asks permission to use AI scoring. Voice answers send a short audio clip to OpenAI Whisper for transcription; typed answers send no audio. The answer text and news excerpt are sent securely to Firebase AI Logic / Vertex AI Gemini for scoring and feedback. The microphone is used only when you choose to record.
