Voice Assess

Voice Assess helps teachers capture student assessment notes and visual evidence using just their voice — right in the middle of a lesson, in the gym, or while reviewing student work.

Select a class, start recording, and speak your observations naturally. Want to capture visual evidence? Start with a photo or video of a student's work or physical technique, then speak your voice note directly over it. Voice Assess transcribes your speech entirely on-device, identifies which student you're talking about from your class list, and links the note and media together automatically.

HOW IT WORKS • Voice Only: Tap record and speak naturally: "Glen is stepping off the wrong foot during his throw. New note, Julia is catching with her hands in the correct position." Voice Assess automatically splits this into separate notes — one for Glen, one for Julia — each timestamped and linked. • Media + Voice: Snap a photo of a student's worksheet or record a short video of their performance, then immediately record your voice observation. Voice Assess links your transcription directly to that piece of media and attributes it to the correct student.

BUILT FOR PRIVACY All student data stays on your device. Voice Assess uses Apple's on-device speech recognition — your voice recordings are never sent to a server, and audio is automatically discarded after transcription. All attached photos, videos, and notes are stored securely on your device, ensuring total student privacy. When you choose AI cleanup, that processing stays on-device on supported hardware; nothing is uploaded for cleanup. Original wording is preserved until you accept a previewed cleanup. No analytics, no tracking, no third-party data sharing.
