What if you eat what you love?
Eat the foods you love, guilt-free. The What If? function calculates a personalized post-meal exercise to offset any feast treat — before you take a single bite.
Overview
Living with Type 2 diabetes or pre-diabetes means making daily choices about meals and exercise — often without seeing the bigger picture until the next lab or clinic appointment. Diabetes Feast is designed exclusively for people who already have a confirmed T2D or pre-diabetes diagnosis and want to understand how their daily food and lifestyle choices affect their own blood sugar patterns. It brings your meal, blood sugar, exercise and weight data together in one place so you can spot your own patterns between clinic visits. A guided Getting Started walkthrough helps new users set up quickly. The app ships with six weeks of demo data to explore before entering your own readings. Every chart reflects only your own historic data, with no predictions, diagnoses, or algorithmic recommendations.
Blood Sugar Tracking
Track your blood sugar readings from Apple Health (using CGM data from Dexcom G7 or FreeStyle Libre 3) alongside manually logged finger-stick readings. View readings on an interactive chart with touch popovers showing what you ate and how you exercised around each reading.
Meal Logging & My Menu Library
Log meals with a built-in food database showing carbohydrates, glycaemic index (GI), and glycaemic load (GL). Build your own My Menu library — long-press any item to save it, or add foods from the online USDA search. See your nutrition summary and how your blood sugar responded after similar past meals.
GMI & Lab HbA1c
Review an estimated Glucose Management Indicator (GMI) derived from the published Bergenstal formula, calculated from your last 14 days of blood sugar data. GMI is a standard informational metric provided by Dexcom G7 and FreeStyle Libre 3 CGM apps — not a clinical measurement. Enter your lab HbA1c results to see them alongside your GMI trend.
What If? Meal Explorer
Build a meal from the food database and browse your blood sugar readings from past meals with a similar GL. See your actual readings from 60–120 minutes after similar recent meals. No predictions — just your own recorded data, presented clearly.
Exercise & Weight
Log exercise sessions manually, or sync workouts from Apple Health (including Apple Watch). See them alongside your blood sugar readings on the same timeline. If your Bluetooth weight scale writes to Apple Health, Diabetes Feast picks up those readings automatically and shows color-coded up/down/no-change markers beneath the blood sugar chart.
Your Data Stays on Your Device
Diabetes Feast reads blood sugar, exercise, and weight from Apple Health but does not write to it. No personal health data is transmitted to any server, and Diabetes Feast itself has no analytics or accounts. Online food searches send your search term to the USDA FoodData Central database; everything else stays on your device..
