Edelvox: Intermediate German

Edelvox is for learners stuck at the intermediate plateau (best for A2 and above). You understand many grammar rules. The hard part is using them automatically, in real time, when you actually have to speak.

A core method is shadowing, the way polyglots train: listen to a sentence and say it back until it feels natural. Here you shadow your own corrected sentences, not canned drills. You write something real, we correct it, and you say it aloud until the right form comes without effort. Your sentences and vocabulary keep resurfacing as you write, talk, drill, and review, so they stop being something you have to stop and think about.

WRITE Write or speak about anything: your day, an email, the thing you wish you'd said. It doesn't need to be correct. That's what the corrections are for. If you don't know a word, say it in English and we'll translate it and save it to your vocab.

LEARN Every correction comes with a plain explanation of the fix, an English translation, and any new words, with noun genders color-coded. When your phrasing is fine but a native would say it differently, you'll hear that too.

SHADOW Listen to your corrected sentences and say them back out loud, matching pronunciation and rhythm, until they come out smoothly.

DRILL Some things have to be automatic, not reasoned out mid-sentence. Rapid-fire trainers get you there: tap der, die, or das for a noun, pick den or dem in a real sentence, choose the right verb form or adjective ending. Every answer comes with a one-line why. Eight trainers cover articles, cases, conjugation, adjective endings, prepositions, participles, pronouns, and plurals. They work offline, with no limit on reps.

CONVERSE Talk with an AI partner about the things you actually wrote. Its questions bring back the words you used. When you work in a grammar structure you've been practicing, it gets highlighted so you can see it working. Save the corrections from each session to come back to later.

GRAMMAR A full reference organized like a course: nouns and articles, the cases, conjugation, tenses, word order, adjectives, prepositions, up to the subjunctive. Every topic has a plain-language rule, charts, real examples, and writing prompts that feed back into the correct-and-shadow loop. The matching trainer is one tap away.

PRACTICE ON THE GO Your corrected sentences stay in your library. Play them hands-free, set the speed and repeats, and practice while you commute, cook, or walk. Group them by situation (ordering food, a doctor's visit) so you drill what you'll actually use.

PRIVACY We don't store your writing in a database. It goes to OpenAI (for corrections, conversation, and transcribing anything you dictate) and ElevenLabs (for the audio you hear), under their privacy policies. Only anonymous usage events go to our analytics, never your writing, and you can turn those off in Settings.
