H.I.M. ("Hi, It's Me") brings back the social internet that felt like home: a screenname that's yours, an away message that says what you're up to, a buddy list of the people you actually talk to, and chat rooms where real conversations happen.

YOUR SCREENNAME Pick a name that represents you. Set a status. Let your buddies see when you're around.

CHAT ROOMS Join community rooms organized by city and interest. See who's around, jump into the conversation, and add people to your buddy list when you click.

BUDDY LIST + AWAY MESSAGES Build a list of the people you actually talk to. Set an away message — "grabbing coffee," "heads-down at work," "back in a bit" — so your buddies know what you're up to. Status as self-expression, the way it used to be.

DIRECT MESSAGES Private one-to-one conversations with your buddies. Send text, photos, and voice notes. Messages queue offline and send when you're back online.
