Ruct is a location-based social network where every post is connected to a place.

DISCOVER WHAT IS HAPPENING NEARBY AND AROUND THE WORLD

The Nearby feed includes posts from around the world. It prioritizes the newest one-hour time periods and shows closer posts first within each period.

Discover voices from nearby cafés, parks, and neighborhoods while staying connected to what is happening in distant cities. If you want to actively explore posts from a particular place, visiting that place is still the best way to bring its posts closer to the top.

EXPLORE WITH THE MAP

Posts appear as markers on the map. Pan or zoom to load posts from the area currently visible on screen, whether it is your neighborhood or a city you have never visited.

You can also leave anonymous emoji stamps on the map. Stamps contain no message, account name, or public author information, making it easy to leave a small sign that a place is interesting or active.

CREATE AT THE PLACE YOU ARE

Attach text, photos, video, or audio to your current location. For supported selected photos or videos, you can use the media’s recorded capture location instead. The redesigned composer lets you quickly select recent photos or open the camera, photo library, and microphone.

Location names are added automatically, and posts can include hashtags and mentions. Share a post link with others; when Ruct is installed, supported links open the post directly in the app.

SIGNED OR UNSIGNED

Choose an account signature for a post or publish that post unsigned. You can keep multiple accounts on one device and switch between them without signing out.

CONNECT WITH PEOPLE

See posts from accounts you follow in the Following feed. Like, repost, comment on, and save posts. Replies are displayed as connected comment threads.

SAFETY AND CONTROL

Ruct supports private accounts, blocking, muting, and reporting posts or users. Registration is limited to users aged 13 or older. Accounts can be deleted from Settings and restored within 30 days.
