5M Auth

5M Auth is a self-sovereign identity wallet that replaces passwords with blockchain-based authentication. Generate an Ethereum key pair on your device, store your identity data locally, and authenticate with Web3 services by scanning QR codes and signing cryptographic challenges.

5M Auth is an identity and authentication app — not a cryptocurrency wallet. It never holds, buys, sells, or transfers funds. Your Ethereum key is used only to prove who you are by signing authentication requests.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Generate or import an Ethereum wallet — your private key never leaves your device.
2. Fill in your profile with the information you choose: name, email, phone, address, national ID, payment card.
3. When a service requests authentication, scan the QR code displayed on screen.
4. Review the request — each item previews the exact data that would be shared — and approve only what you want.
5. The app signs the challenge with your private key — no passwords, no cloud accounts.

KEY FEATURES Passwordless Authentication Scan a QR code, review the request, and approve. Your cryptographic signature proves your identity without transmitting a password.

Multiple Wallet Identities Create several wallets — personal, work, testing — with color tags and per-wallet profiles. A per-service wallet picker remembers your choice; each wallet can require its own biometric confirmation.

Share Only What You Choose Share your language and UI preferences, your national ID with verification status, or a payment card to speed up checkout. Prove your age with a 16+/18+/21+ confirmation derived from your national ID — without revealing the ID number itself.

Payment Cards, Done Safely Add a card by typing or by scanning it with the camera (processed on your device; the photo is deleted immediately). The full number lives only in your device's secure storage and is always shown masked. The CVC is never stored or shared.

Wallet Contacts Save other 5M Auth users' wallets and share yours as a QR code or an encrypted link that reveals nothing without the app.

Know Who's Asking Every request shows a "Verified app" badge for registered, recognized services. Unverified requests are clearly flagged — approve with confidence, or decline.

Your Data, Your Device Personal information and wallet keys are stored locally in your device's secure storage. Nothing is uploaded to a central server.

Biometric & PIN Protection Lock access to your profile and wallet settings with biometrics or a PIN code.

Backup & Recovery Back up one wallet or all of them in a single encrypted bundle, protected by a passphrase with strong authenticated encryption. Split backups into two parts for safe recovery.

Multi-Language Support Available in English, Spanish, Icelandic (íslenska), Japanese, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, and Chinese.

Authentication History A full local log of every authentication — service, permissions granted, date and time.

Company Profiles Store company information (name, kennitala, VAT number) for business authentication and invoicing.

Open Standards Built on Ethereum signatures and OAuth2 consent flows, compatible with any service integrating the 5M SSO2 platform.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN

• Private keys never leave your device.
• No third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or crash reporters.
• Card scans are processed on-device; the CVC is never stored anywhere.
• Diagnostic logs (device ID, app version, error info) may be sent to our servers to improve stability — not linked to your identity.
• View, edit, or delete all stored data at any time, or reset the app entirely.
