Zen Teleprompter is a teleprompter app and video studio for iPhone and iPad. Write Markdown scripts, read with smooth auto-scroll, record selfie videos, and edit finished takes—all in one calm, creator-focused app. Whether you shoot YouTube videos, online courses, podcasts on camera, sales demos, or rehearsal speeches, Zen Teleprompter helps you stay on script and keep natural eye contact.

Your scripts stay private. Content is stored on your device. Optional sync uses your personal iCloud. We do not host or access your scripts. No ads. Recordings stay on your device unless you save to Photos.

SCRIPT WRITING & LIBRARY • Markdown editor with formatting toolbar, readable preview, and source view • Search with highlighted matches; favorite, archive, duplicate, share, and import documents • Export or print PDF cue sheets for paper rehearsals • Per-script recordings tab links every take to the script you read from • Swipe actions and context menus across the script library • Optional AI Script Studio — tighten, conversationalize, or rewrite with your own Anthropic API key (Keychain on device only)

TELEPROMPTER MODES • Standard — full-screen reader when you do not need a camera • Mirrored — horizontal flip for beam-splitter glass and teleprompter rigs; controls stay readable • Selfie — front-camera overlay, Dynamic Island layout or classic card, adjustable panel height, ring light with tint and adaptive boost • Tabbed bottom settings in prompter sessions — same layout language as the video editor

SMOOTH READING & CONTROL • Auto-scroll with speed, ramp-in, loop at end, and pre-roll delay (off, 3s, or 5s) • Drag when paused; tap zones for nudge or slow scroll while holding • Focus window, edge fades, chunk highlight, bionic reading, high contrast, dim-when-paused • Lens center and title-safe guides; jump to cues from headings and :: cue lines • Session timer; voice scroll assist (beta); volume-button nudge • Inter, Literata, or Lexend Deca — size, spacing, column width • Keep display awake; orientation lock; iPad keyboard shortcuts

VIDEO RECORDING • Record while reading from the front camera without switching apps • Optional countdown and pre-roll; auto-scroll while recording • 720p, 1080p, or 4K at 30 or 60 fps (device permitting) • Takes save to the in-app library with script snapshot; optional save to Photos

RECORDING STUDIO • Full-screen editor with live preview, fullscreen review, undo, and tabbed controls • Timing: trim, auto-trim silence, jump cuts with live preview, playback speed (0.9×–1.25×) • Look: 16 color LUTs, filters, person-aware background blur, mirror, reframe, export aspect (9:16, 1:1, 16:9) • Audio: normalize, noise reduction, studio voice enhance, fades, mute, royalty-free music beds (ambient, lo-fi, cinematic, vlog, piano, corporate, and more), custom import, duck-under-voice • Export: burn-in or SRT captions, script overlay, 9-position watermark, cover frame, chapter markers, render and share • Merge takes from the same script; non-destructive settings saved per take

RECORDINGS & RECOVERY • Hub with search, playback, share, Photos export, and edit in Recording Studio • Recently deleted for scripts and recordings — restore or purge; auto-purge after 30 days

SETTINGS & SYNC • Light, Dark, or System appearance; English and Spanish UI • Selfie defaults: island layout, panel height, quality, frame rate • iCloud script sync with clear on/off status (optional; restart to apply) • Zen Premium unlocks unlimited active scripts via Apple In-App Purchase
