SteelBeamChecker

An easy to run preliminary checks on how your steel beam is withstanding loads (shear force, compressive force, tensile force and bending moment).

User only needs to input the initial parameters, such as beam length, loading information, end conditions and steel grade, this app can then quickly conduct checks to see if your beam is able to withstand the designated loadings! All the results will then be display as clear and simply percentage values!

This app currently support the use of universal column, parallel flange channel and circular hollow section! more beam types are coming soon!

1. The design calculation are following the clauses in Code of Practice for the Structural Use of Steel 2013 in Hong Kong.
2. The app is for reference check only, all the structures can only be applied in use after they are verified and endorsed by related competent professional person.
