Web of History is an interactive encyclopedia of 650+ hand-curated entries spanning six centuries of human thought — from the Renaissance to the Information Age. Every person, invention, theory, event, and cultural work is connected to related entries, revealing the hidden threads that link ideas across time. In this app, you can search events, explore a chronology, see a force-directed graph of connections, zoom through an interactive timeline, test your knowledge with quizzes, or follow narrative-driven guided tours through major themes across the past 600 years. Built as a companion for university-level humanities courses, but designed for anyone curious about how the modern world was made.
