EVERYDAY LIFE IN ONE PLACE A family calendar the whole household can actually use — from football practice to family dinner, with weather from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute. Import external calendars via iCal, so the school schedule and the team fixtures land in the shared calendar. Dinner week: plan the week's meals, get suggestions when inspiration runs out, and send the ingredients straight to the shopping list. Shopping lists and wish lists that sync in real time. Tick something off in the store and the rest of the family sees it at once. Family chat with no strangers in the thread — and the family's own email address: forward the invitation from school and it becomes a calendar suggestion.

CHORES THAT ACTUALLY GET DONE Assign chores with a clear description and a photo, so you skip the argument about what "tidy your room" means. Allowance and rewards for completed chores, paid out via Vipps. Child accounts with parental controls, and roles for adult, child, grandparents and step-parents.

SAFETY IN EVERYDAY LIFE Safe home — see that your teenager got home, without having to nag. SOS with a live feed to the family when something happens. A baby monitor inside the app you already have, instead of another gadget on the nightstand. Family screen: put today's calendar, dinner and chores up on a screen in the hallway.

READY FOR WHAT YOU HOPE NEVER HAPPENS Emergency preparedness following the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB) — build the supplies that keep your family self-sufficient for a week, item by item. Track expiry dates on food, water, batteries and medicine, and get told before anything runs out. Fire round: check smoke alarms and extinguishers, and have the check logged. Find the nearest public shelter. Preparedness buddy: agree with a neighbour on who does what when the power goes out.

YOUR HOME, DOCUMENTED A maintenance log per room, with receipts, photos and the colour code of the paint you actually used. Share the receipt straight into the app and it drafts the log entry for you. A property report you can bring to a contractor, an insurer or a sale. Share the cabin, the car or the boat — book time, find the key and keep the documentation in one place.

BUILT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY Storfamilien is made for households that don't all look the same: partners, shared custody, grandparents on pickup duty, and aunts and uncles who step in. Large buttons and calm typography mean both the seven-year-old and grandad can find their way. The app works on phone, tablet and computer, and syncs in real time between everyone in the family.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can view, change or cancel it under Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
