CONNECT THROUGH COMMUNITIES

The TapXO Community is a public, server-visible lobby for chat and game challenges. You can also create invitation-only private communities for a more private conversation.

Experimental private communities include:

• End-to-end encrypted messages, replies, private messages, images, documents, and voice notes • Delivery and read status • Player blocking and privacy-aware reporting • Member and owner controls • Encrypted local message history • Local message deletion, conversation clearing, and emergency panic wipe • User-configurable Nostr relays and discoverable chat commands • Multiple possible delivery paths: a live ciphertext gateway, Nostr relays, and nearby Bluetooth mesh when available

PRIVATE COMMUNITY BETA

Private communities are designed to operate without a central chat database. Their message content is encrypted on the sender’s device and decrypted by participating devices. The live TapXO gateway forwards ciphertext to connected peers without private-chat history. Delivery paths are best effort and depend on gateway or relay availability, nearby peers, device permissions, and operating-system background limits.

This encrypted community system is experimental and has not completed an independent cryptographic audit. Cross-platform Bluetooth behavior still requires physical-device validation. It does not make a device anonymous, guarantee delivery, or protect messages after they are displayed on an unlocked or compromised device. The public lobby, online matchmaking, game coordination, leaderboards, advertising, moderation, and some service metadata still use server or database services. After a report warning and confirmation, selected evidence is disclosed to the community owner and separately submitted to TapXO moderation when available.

Bluetooth access is optional. TapXO is not intended for emergency communication.
