LapView offers a simple and intuitive way to monitor swimming sessions in a pool.

While you swim, LapView displays current lap and distance in large fonts, making it easier for farsighted people to check their progress. A selection of themes, including high-contrast ones, is available. Furthermore, the app provides haptic feedback at the end of each lap, letting you know the lap has been registered.

Once you finish, the app on your phone provides detailed statistics, including lap times, stroke counts and heart rate change during the exercise.

This lap tracker is excellent. Not only can I see how fast I am swimming, over time I can see the improvements I am making with my pace and endurance. It really is a set it and forget it. Once you start your swim you can proceed without another thought and then see the results at the end. There is a haptics reminder at the end of each lap which, to me, offers encouragement to keep going. But it also is a reminder that the app is working in the background. No more trying to remember what lap I am on. You touch your watch and it pops up immediately. I have only scratched the surface of all this app offers.
