WattPose uses your iPhone camera and on-device AI to analyze your riding position in real time — while you pedal. No sensors. Just ride.

WHAT WATTPOSE MEASURES ▸ Back Angle The lean angle of your torso from vertical. Optimal: 40–60°. Too upright means more drag; too flat means back pain and power loss. ▸ Knee Extension The angle at the knee joint at the bottom of the pedal stroke. Optimal: 140–155°. Protects tendons and maximizes pedalling efficiency. ▸ Knee Stability Lateral deviation of the knee from the ideal line. A wandering knee is a hallmark of hip weakness or saddle mismatch. ▸ Hip Rocking Side-to-side oscillation of the hips. Excessive rocking wastes watts and stresses the lower back. ▸ Head Drop Your head should sit above your shoulders. Drooping signals fatigue and increases the risk of neck injury. ▸ Shoulder Symmetry Equal loading on both sides. Asymmetry reveals muscular imbalances that limit sustainable power output.

VIRTUAL CdA & WATTS SAVED WattPose calculates your virtual CdA (aerodynamic drag coefficient × frontal area) directly from your body pose — no wind tunnel required. Calibrate once from your upright position, then watch in real time how many watts you save by getting more aero (calculated at 40 km/h). A lower CdA means less drag and more speed for the same effort.

REAL-TIME AI ANALYSIS ML Kit runs entirely on-device (no cloud upload, no latency). The AI skeleton analyses every frame at up to 30 fps and delivers colour-coded live feedback: • Green = perfect form • Orange = minor issue detected • Red = form breakdown, correct now
