User Reviews
If you struggle with a backlog of models or trying to keep a pace with painting, this is a great tool. Catalog your paint colors, track the amounts you have for future purchases, plan model projects, record paint schemes, track and compete with a hobby leaderboard, and all towards organizing your hobby workflow. It database of paints and models is created by the community of users, so what you scan or what you manually enter will help and be used by future users as well. Simple design and weirdly addictive with the achievements you can collect. I’ve increased my hobby output by a lot with this.

The app barely works. The barcode scanner definitely does not work at all. I tried scanning both individual paint bottles and even the paint boxes themselves, and every single time it just redirects me to the generic manual entry screen to type everything in myself. That completely defeats the purpose of why I downloaded the app in the first place. I own the full Army Painter range, and I am absolutely not going to manually enter every single paint one by one.
On top of that, the Pro upgrade appears broken too. I paid to upgrade, but every time I try to use a Pro feature it just sends me back to the upgrade screen again. Then when I try upgrading again, it says I already own Pro. So I paid for features I still can’t access.
The entire app feels unfinished and nonfunctional.
(Review Update: Update: The developer responded acting like my review was somehow unfair or just “bad timing,” so I reinstalled the app and tested everything again, since I still had an active Pro subscription for the month. The exact same issues are still there.
The paid Pro features STILL do not work. Scheme Vault, Scheme Journal, and Scheme Advisor all redirect me to the “Upgrade to Pro” screen. Then when I click upgrade, the app tells me I am already subscribed to Pro. So ye, charging people money for features they literally cannot access is absolutely what I would call a messy app.
The paint scanner is also still broken in multiple areas. Some paints scan now, so clearly something changed. Army Painter Speedpaints are scanning correctly, but Many regular Army Painter (I have the Army Painter Wargamers Complete Set) acrylics either do not scan at all or all come up as “The Glottkin.” If your core feature is cataloging paints through scanning, that is a major problem.
I do not care whether this is a solo developer project or not. The moment you start charging money for premium features, people are allowed to judge the app as a paid product. “I’m only one developer” stops being a defense when the paid features still don’t function.)
