Gallerique for AppleTV

Gallerique turns your Apple TV into a fullscreen photo and video slideshow.

Pick an album from your photo library, choose a transition style, and press play. Your photos and videos fill the entire screen with smooth cinematic transitions between them. Everything is controlled with your Siri Remote.

It started because every slideshow app available was either buggy, overloaded with features nobody asked for, or just forgot that the whole point is to look at your photos on the biggest screen in your home.

HOW IT WORKS

Browse your albums on the home screen. Select one, or choose All Media to play everything. Hit Begin Slideshow. That's it.

Photos display for as long as you want, from 5 to 30 seconds each. Videos always play to completion, so you never miss a moment. When the playlist ends, it loops back to the start.

SIRI REMOTE

Click the touchpad to pause and bring up controls. Swipe left or right to skip between slides. Press Menu to go back. The overlay gives you quick access to play/pause, settings, favourites, and home. Simple enough that anyone in the room can use it without instructions.

SEVEN TRANSITIONS

Crossfade, slide left, slide right, zoom in, blur dissolve, or Ken Burns, the slow cinematic pan-and-zoom you see in documentaries. Pick the one that fits the mood, or turn transitions off entirely for a clean cut between slides.

BACKGROUND MUSIC

If Spotify or Apple Music is already playing, Gallerique leaves it alone. When a video with sound comes up, the music ducks down quietly and comes back after. No audio interruptions, no fighting over the sound output.

YOUR PHOTOS, YOUR WAY

Show photos, videos, or both. Pick any album or play them all. Sort randomly or by date. Choose whether videos play with sound or stay silent. Choose aspect fill to use the whole screen, or aspect fit to see every pixel of the original image.

Mark your favourites directly from the slideshow. When you spot a photo you love, just pause and tap the heart.

BUILT FOR THE BIG SCREEN

Gallerique is designed specifically for Apple TV and tvOS 26. It is not a scaled-up phone app. The interface is dark by design, because when your photos are on a 55-inch screen, the last thing you want is bright chrome competing for attention. The focus is always on your content.
