Baby Names Match: Traumname

New: the Name Finale! Your matches go head to head until your top 3 is left. Part of Traumname Plus: one-time purchase for you both, no subscription. Swiping stays free.

Expecting a baby and can't agree on a name? Traumname turns the name search into a fun experience you share as a couple.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Take the Taste Test — A quick interactive quiz learns your personal naming style. Classic or modern? Nordic or romantic? Short or long?

2. Swipe Through Names — Discover 2,200+ curated baby names, intelligently ranked to match your taste. Every swipe refines your recommendations.

3. Find Your Matches — When you and your partner both like the same name, it appears as a match. Find the name you both love — no arguments needed.

WHY TRAUMNAME?

• Smart Recommendations: Our algorithm learns your taste and suggests names you'll actually love
• Decide Together: Each partner swipes independently — mutual matches are revealed automatically
• Taste Profile: Discover your naming style (e.g., "Nordic, short, soft-sounding")
• 40+ Origins: From German to French, Italian to Japanese
• Boy & Girl Names: Filter by gender or browse all names
• Free to Use: No subscription, no ads. Traumname Plus is an optional one-time purchase that covers you both

WHO IS TRAUMNAME FOR?

• Expecting parents searching for the perfect name together
• Couples who can't seem to agree
• Anyone looking for unique and beautiful baby name inspiration

TRAUMNAME PLUS (OPTIONAL)

Four tools for making the final decision:

• Name Finale: Your matches go head to head in knockout duels until your top 3 is left
• Pro Filters: Finer filters while you swipe — first letter, ending, length, syllables, letters to exclude, several origins combined
• Name Check: Checks a name against your surname (sound and rhythm), sibling names, initials, teasing rhymes and pronunciation abroad
• Middle Name Finder: Suggests middle names that sound good with the first name and surname

One-time purchase, no subscription. One purchase covers you both: Plus unlocks automatically for your linked partner. It never expires, so it is still there for a later child.

The Name Check runs on your device: your surname and sibling names are not uploaded.

Everything that is free today stays free and unlimited: the taste test, swiping through all names, inviting your partner, your matches, meanings and origins.
