Road Sign Bingo is a game that turns everyday road trips into a scavenger hunt.
You get a 5x5 bingo card filled with real road signs. As you spot them out the
window, you tap them on your card. Get five in a row and you win!
It's great for kids and adults alike, whether you're on a long highway drive or
just out running errands around town.
How to Play
- Open the app and tap "New Game" to get a fresh bingo card.
- Look out the window for road signs as you travel.
- When you spot a sign that matches one on your card, tap it.
- Get five in a row — across, down, or diagonal — to get Bingo!
- Celebrate! The app plays a winning sound and fills the screen with confetti.
The center square of every card is a free space, so you start with one square
already marked.
Features
Sound Effects
The app plays a soft tap sound each time you mark a square, and a cheerful
three-note chime when you win. Sound can be turned off in Settings.
Confetti Celebration
When you get Bingo, the screen fills with colorful falling confetti.
Game History
Every game you play is saved. You can go back and look at old games, see how
far you got, and whether you won.
Map View
If location is turned on, the app remembers where you were when you spotted each
sign. After getting Bingo, you can view a map showing all the spots where you
found signs during that game.
Printable Bingo Cards
You can generate a printable version of any bingo card and share it — great for
printing out physical cards to use offline or hand out to passengers.
Settings
Easy Mode (on by default)
Fills your card mostly with common, everyday signs — stop signs, speed limits,
school zones, pedestrian crossings, and so on. Great for beginners and younger
players. Turn it off for a bigger challenge with rarer signs.
Random Free Space
By default the free space is always in the center of the card. Turn this on to
place it at a random spot instead.
Sound Effects
Toggle the tap and win sounds on or off.
Capture Location
When turned on, the app quietly records your location each time you tap a sign.
This is what powers the map view after a game. You can turn it off if you prefer
not to share your location.
The Sign Library
The app includes 587 real road signs from the official United States road sign
system, known as the MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices). These
are the actual signs you see on roads across the country — regulatory signs like
Stop and Yield, warning signs for curves and crossings, guide signs for routes
and exits, and many more.
Sign images are in the public domain, provided by the Federal Highway
Administration.
Tips
- Easy Mode is great for road trips with kids — the signs are ones you'll
actually see on most drives.
- Turn off Easy Mode for a harder game on long highway trips.
- Use the printable card feature to make a paper version for passengers without
a phone.
- You can delete old games by swiping left on them in the game list, or use
Select to remove multiple at once.
