A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER I built TreatJar because I was tired of oscillating between bribing my kids and losing my cool when bribing didn't work. The parenting thinkers I trust all say the same thing: don't pay kids for kindness, but do build structure around contribution. I couldn't find a product that let me do both. So I built one.

TreatJar is grounded in what child development research says about intrinsic versus extrinsic motivation. I'm not claiming it'll transform your family in a week. I am saying it'll give you something structured to reach for when "please put your shoes on" has been said four times.
