Golden Words: sight words

Golden Words helps young children learn to read sight words — the high-frequency words that make up the foundation of early reading.

Learn by seeing, hearing, and speaking:

• Tap any word to hear it spoken aloud
• Long press to hear it used in a sentence
• Double tap to sound it out phoneme by phoneme, with each letter group highlighted as it plays

Test what you know:

• Listen to a word and tap the right tile — get it wrong and the tile shakes, get it right and move on
• Speak mode uses speech recognition so kids can practice saying each word out loud
• Celebrate every completed set with confetti

Record your own voice: Parents and teachers can record custom audio for every word, so kids hear a familiar voice instead of text-to-speech.

Customise your word list: Turn individual words on or off in Settings to focus on the ones your child is working on.

Words are organised into colour-coded groups for easy, bite-sized practice sessions.
