KaviAI is an AI chat app that runs directly on your iPhone or iPad. Your conversations stay on your device and are never sent to any server. Most AI assistants send everything you type to the cloud, but KaviAI runs AI right on your phone — no internet needed, no subscriptions, no data collection. It is built for anyone who wants AI chat without giving up their privacy, students who need an offline study helper, and people with limited internet access.

You can download free AI models and chat completely offline. The app recommends models that fit your device and organizes them into categories like Coding, Chat, Reasoning, Writing, Math, Education, Health, and News. You can also search and download more from Hugging Face. If you prefer cloud AI, you can connect to ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini using your own API keys. Sign-in is only required for cloud features. You can create custom AI prompts with your own instructions, or use pre-built ones like Coding Assistant, Study Tutor, Writing Helper, and Storyteller. A built-in speed test helps you pick the best model for your device. You can delete your account and all data from Settings at any time. KaviAI has no ads, no tracking, and collects no data.

To review the app, open it and go to the Models tab. Tap any model to download it, then tap Start Chat to begin a conversation. To test Prompt Lab, open it from the side menu and tap Chat on any prompt. To test cloud AI, go to Settings and enter an API key for any supported provider. Account creation, sign-in, and account deletion can all be accessed from Settings or the side menu. The app works fully without an account.

External services used: Supabase for authentication and account management, Hugging Face for browsing and downloading open-source AI models, OpenAI API for ChatGPT, Anthropic API for Claude, and Google Gemini API for Gemini. Cloud AI keys are provided by the user and stored securely on-device. There are no payment processors, no analytics, and no ads. The app does not operate in a regulated industry and functions consistently across all regions.
