Great Physician is a free app from The Kiln Ministries that serves as your interactive guide through God's Word. At its heart is your companion — Barnabas or Lydia — who walks alongside you, illuminating Scripture and two thousand years of the church's wisdom to point the way to Jesus Christ, the true healer of the human heart.

Honest about the technology — and not what you expect

Your guide's counsel is built on a special kind of AI — one that searches and synthesizes sound biblical truths from across two thousand years of church history, from Augustine to Jay Adams. It does not invent answers or speak from nowhere. It uses Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG): when you bring a question, it draws on a curated library of Scripture and trusted Christian writings, then responds with guidance grounded in those sources. The result is insight that is consistent, faithful, and anchored — never untethered opinion.
