X-Squared Challenge is a revolutionary new math game that is challenging and entertaining and, best of all, significantly improves basic math skills of anyone who plays.

X-Squared Challenge is a math app that challenges players to build equations — not just solve them. Using integers, operators, parentheses, and exponents, players construct expressions that equal a target number while following the order of operations (PEMDAS).

This application contains two game types: Basic and Classic. The Basic version is for players to practice the Order of Operations with relatively simple math puzzles. The Classic version is challenging and entertaining and enables users to accumulate points by solving puzzles of varying difficulty. This game is unique in that it requires creative reasoning — players must "create" equations rather than simply solve them. Most of all, the game promotes enhanced learning for students and others in practicing their understanding of the order of operations and math facts. Anyone who plays the game, regardless of their current level of mathematics, will improve their basic math skills. By playing the game for just one hour, players will see an immediate improvement in math skills.

The X-Squared Challenge game was derived from a patented product called the X-Squared Math Card Deck, produced by Cognitive Card Games LLC. That order of operations deck is the only one available in the world to the public that has two important characteristics: it's both simple and complete. The elements of the card deck are easy to use and understand in creating equations that conform to the rules of the order of operations. It is complete in that it includes all of the elements of the order of operations (PEMDAS): it has parentheses cards, exponent cards, multiplication cards, division cards, addition cards and subtraction cards. The parentheses and exponent cards are transparent so that they can overlay integer cards. The X-Squared Challenge app incorporates all of the characteristics of the card deck.
