The format is comprehensible input, by design. Fletcher introduces each topic in English. Octavio responds in Spanish. The conversation alternates between the two languages so you understand the shape of what is being said before the Spanish lands. Every episode comes with a synchronized bilingual transcript. Tap any word in Spanish to see the English translation and add it to your personal vocabulary. Spaced-repetition flashcards review what you have banked between episodes, so the words from this morning's commute come back at the right moment a week later.
