Yard work. Moving day. Cleaning before company comes. Dog walks. Hauling something out to the curb. The jobs that are too small to call a company about and too annoying to keep putting off.

HOW IT WORKS

Post what you need. It takes about a minute. Say what the job is, where it is, when you need it, and what you are paying.

Students nearby see your job, and one of them claims it. Once a student has claimed it, you will see their name, their school and their reviews, and you can message them before they start.

The pay is agreed when you post, so there is nothing to negotiate at the door.

WHO SHOWS UP

Everyone who wants to work through Sela applies with their school, and we review every application by hand. No one gets on the platform automatically, and we remove helpers who do not meet the bar.

After every job both sides leave a review, and those reviews follow the student. The people doing good work are easy to find.

IF YOU WANT TO CHOOSE

Sela Pro is optional. It lets you post a job directly to specific students you pick, instead of waiting for someone to claim it, and it includes three Need It Now posts each month. Everything else in the app works without it.

WHY STUDENTS

They live close by. They have gaps in their schedule that happen to line up with when you need help. And the money goes to someone working their way through school in your own town instead of to a call center.

WHAT IT COSTS

Posting a job is free, and you set the price you are willing to pay. Need It Now, which pushes your job out with urgency, is a paid option. Sela Pro is a monthly subscription and is not required.

Sela Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription. It costs $9.99 per month and starts with a 7 day free trial. You are not charged during the trial, and unless you cancel before it ends it becomes a paid monthly subscription at $9.99 per month, renewing each month until you cancel. Pro lets you post a job directly to specific students you pick, set a minimum rating on a job, and includes three Need It Now posts each month. You can cancel at any time, including during the trial, from the Pro screen in the app.
