IdeaMic captures spoken ideas in organised threads. Tap once to start recording and tap again to stop; each new recording is limited to five minutes.

Speech recognition is forced to run on-device, with no online fallback. Recordings, transcripts and history are stored locally and excluded from the system iCloud device backup.

Data leaves IdeaMic only when you explicitly export, back up or share it to Files or another app. Complete .ideamicbackup files contain text and original recordings and are not password-encrypted.

You can also export an idea as Markdown, TXT or JSON. No account is required.
