PHOTO PROOF FOR REAL ACCOUNTABILITY Parents can require photo verification on any task — an after photo, or both a before and after. When a child works on a task that requires a photo, the app opens the camera at the right step. The child cannot collect their reward until the parent reviews the photo and approves. No more "I already did it." Parents see the evidence right there in the approval screen.

WEEK IN REVIEW Each week, GemSprout generates a personalized recap for your family — a multi-slide storyboard with an original acoustic guitar soundtrack that shuffles each week for a different experience every time. Per-child highlights, badges unlocked, gems earned, and savings milestones. A moment worth sitting down for, not a dashboard to check.

BADGE TRADING CARDS Earned badges unlock holographic trading cards. Tap a badge and it opens full-screen with a layered shine and glare effect. Tilt your phone and the holographic shimmer shifts in real time — the card tracks the device gyroscope as you move it. A reward that actually feels like one.

IN-APP SAVINGS TRACKER Every child has an in-app savings tracker — parent-funded and parent-managed, with no bank or financial institution involved. Parents set a custom interest rate on a configurable schedule, contribute matching funds, and approve or decline spend requests from their kids. Kids watch their simulated balance grow and connect the habits that built it to the savings behind it.

REWARDS THAT FIT YOUR FAMILY GemSprout ships with sensible defaults so setup is immediate — but the whole reward system is yours to shape. Create custom badges tied to specific tasks. Build level names, thresholds, progressions, and icons from scratch or adjust the defaults. Set gem payouts at any streak milestone. Nothing is locked to a preset structure.

FLEXIBLE PRIZE SYSTEM Build a custom reward catalog with individual and team prizes. Set unlock requirements based on tasks completed in a day, specific named tasks, Daily Combo completion, or combinations of these. Prizes can recur weekly, monthly, once only, or any time.

AWAY DAY SCHEDULING Set a recurring weekly schedule for days when a child is typically away from home. Streak requirements are paused on those days automatically. Override any individual day when plans change. If a child completes a task on a scheduled away day, the app automatically counts that day as home so their progress is recognized.

PARENT CONTROLS Approve task completions with photo evidence, manage spend requests, set savings rates, configure prize requirements, and receive push notifications that open directly to the relevant screen. Swiping any activity card reveals an undo option — covering completions, approvals, prize redemptions, and manual adjustments.

FAMILY SETUP WITHOUT FRICTION GemSprout uses a six-character family code — no child accounts required. Kids access the app with a PIN on the family device. Parents authenticate separately for approvals and settings. Setup takes minutes.
