Haptic Messenger

A new way to stay in touch. Send vibrations, not just words. Feel each other across the distance, in real time.

Haptic is a small messaging app for the people you actually want to be in touch with.

Instead of just text, you send tactile patterns. Short vibration sequences your friend feels on their phone the moment you send them. A heartbeat. Maybe three quick taps to say "thinking of you." Or a long press to say "I'm here." Words can do a lot, but sometimes a touch says it better.

You can also tap freely to send a rhythm exactly as you played it, and your friend feels the same rhythm back. Take your time with it. Tap, listen to it, start over, and send it only when it says what you meant. In the thread it stays drawn as the rhythm you actually tapped, so you can see the shape of a message before you feel it.

Each conversation has Message mode for async chat and Live mode for being there together. Free-tap a vibe in the moment, or share a touch surface that follows your finger as you move.

Long-press a friend's message to squeeze it back. A small hug they can feel later. When they're online, you'll see it. When they're in the chat with you, you'll feel it.

Haptic is built around three ideas:

• Small. We don't run ads, we don't show stories, we don't have a feed. There's a list of your conversations. That's the whole app.

• Personal. Over time, you and a friend will build your own vocabulary. The patterns and rhythms that mean something only to the two of you. Three quick taps in the morning. A long press before bed. None of it is a feature. It's just what happens when you talk in touch.

• Yours. Sign in with Apple, change your display name, pick a color and a typeface, follow your phone's appearance or lock it light or dark, and control optional analytics and training collection with per-purpose toggles. Delete your account from Settings whenever you want.

Haptic uses Sign in with Apple. There is no separate username or password. To send messages you'll add a contact by sharing or accepting an invite link.
