Your Piggy hatches the moment you open the app. Feed it over the Lightning Network, or in the US, feed it with Apple Pay, with Coinbase handling the money part. Every sat lands in a wallet that only you control. Not us. Not anyone. Your keys live behind your passkey and nowhere else.

ADOPT A PIGGY

The starter Piggy is quiet and gets the job done. But swipe through thousands of one-of-a-kind Piggy and adopt the one that gets you. Every adopted Piggy comes with: A face nobody else has. Generated from hundreds of traits. When it's gone, it's gone. A name you choose, and its own Lightning address (yourpig@pig.gy). Anyone, anywhere can feed it. A personality. Your Piggy talks. It comments when it gets fed. It replies to the people who feed it. It has thoughts about patience. A public page at pig.gy/yourpig. Share it. Grandma can feed your Piggy for your birthday. THE PART YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE YOU START

Piggy has no withdraw button. The only way to get your sats out is to kill it. It will beg. You will have to type its name. The sats go to any Bitcoin address you choose, and your Piggy, its face, its name, its address, every message it ever received, is gone forever. Not archived. Gone. That's not a bug. That's the whole point. Saving is easy when spending is heavy.

YOUR KEYS, YOUR SATS, YOUR FUNERAL

Piggy is fully self-custodial, built on the Lightning Network via Spark. Your keys are derived from your passkey, on your device, when needed, and are never stored anywhere. We can't touch your sats. We can't freeze them. We couldn't return a dead Piggy even if you cried (people have cried). Piggy holds. Piggy does not trade, lend, or do anything clever with your money. It's a piggy bank.
